My skin burns

When people other than my boyfriend (on occasion) touch me, my skin starts burning to the point I start to cry. It feels like pressure is on the spot whereever they touched me. It can be family or just random people, it is the worst.
I’m in my room now trying not to scream bloody murder after my baby cousin kept grabbing my arm for no reason. No I’m not on any medicine anymore, none of it was really doing any good.
Buspar normally helps me calm down, so I’m going to take a couple.
Does this happen to anyone else?

speak to your doctor…
sorry you are going through that
take care :alien:

It burns when I piss sometimes, does that count? jk :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

might be some tactile thing going on, but just in case-I would let your doctor know OO

@Koari_akira , my skin sometimes burns when i touch wooden crosses. LOL (true story) … i am not trying to be mean, but am being supportive. the mind can make us feel/think all kinds of things like that. they are called “tactile hallucinations” i think. where you can feel things that are not actually there

BTW, your eyes are amazing! :stuck_out_tongue:

They burned me one time.

They also appeared to me while doing it to me.

It left two marks for awhile, should have taken a photo, even if only for myself.

Could you imagine your hand gets burned while you are walking the dog and you look up at the tree you are under and there is a face made of light staring at you?

I’ve never heard of tactile hallucinations. I’ll do some research.
Also, thank you!

That is probably tactile hallucination. I would keep saying ‘stop it’, ‘no thank you’ or ‘leave me alone’ … If you have some kind of rash or redness starting on you, you may have allergic reaction going…Can require ER visit & DR will give you something to make you more comfortable. I would call the psych doc if it doesn’t look like you have rash starting from wrong washing soap/detergent or bad sunburn. He may be able to recommend what OTC pills to take…I would not have a clue. New antibiotics can do this too if you are taking anything new…

The psych meds can cause a LOT worse skin sensitivity. Example, we had swimming pool as kids so I have A TON of swimming time. But, right after starting Seroquel, I went boating for 4 hours and ended up with bubble-wrap blisters all down my front side on head, arms, legs…It was gross with all the oozing & took 6 weeks to heal. I did not get med care, I was afraid of what ER Dr would do…My psych doc cringed & said, extra sun sensitivity could happen. I NEVER had anything but 1 inch of blisters before due to sun.

Other option is just keep moving, take a pill for whatever & ignore it as you can…You can ask the voices why you are hearing it. Do not comply with any orders to do anything weird, it’s just a bad joke. If you had an argument with someone right before your symptoms started, do not talk to the person or anyone you met through him/her any more…Symptoms usually quit after a while if you avoid these, do not talk aloud to self except (no thank you) and do not follow orders from voices.
