My psychiatrist is being replaced

My psychiatrist is being replaced by an NP because they don’t cost as much. I will miss my psychiatrist because she had many years of experience and had the calm, in control air that relaxes you.

I miss having a psychiatrist, don’t have one since 2021

Wow , how DON’T you have? Damn I think we are in same city too.
Your GP is prescribing?

Yes my gp but he can only increase my dose and not prescribe new psych meds. Everytime I request a pdoc he closes my file after one apt as he says I am too stable. I need to wait 8-12months and pass a phone interview about the severity of my symptoms everytime I need to see a pdoc. Maybe you have a pdoc cause you’re on Clozapine

I have a new psychiatrist I have never met in person. I have had one phone appointment with him. Right now I have forgotten his name. I get one appointment a year.

Yeah
I had one had before that though
Thanks to my cousin’s contacts.
I was having trouble too at the beginning to get one.

I heard the main keywords nowadays are to say you are feeling suicidal to get someone, as screwed up as it may sound.

Only one appointment a year? Where you from?

I have a better one now, he said i could lower my dose & i said it would be better in the morning and he agreed, i am hoping i can cut my meds again, i’ve been taking 50% less dose in the morning & i am less tired, more energy etc.

My previous p/doc re-diagnosed me then dropped me when covid struck :frowning: left me for dead & i ended up hospitalised again.
