Who I have been a patient of for almost 6 years. It was the goodbye call. We were both pretty choked up.
I met the new pdoc last week. He is very nice. I am hoping he continues to practice here.

My old psychiatrist resigned. We didn’t get along, so good riddance to them. I haven’t actually met my new one face to face as it’s just been phone calls due to covid.
Glad you’re getting along with your new psychiatrist.
My pdoc left for greener pastures somewhere else in the VA system. And I am sorry to see him go.
I am not getting a new pdoc. They are assigning me to a psychopharmacologist. She has the qualifications to research and develop psych meds. And, I’m presuming, to prescribe them too.
My pdoc for almost 7 years is kinda old. He’s 71 so might retire soon but fortunately not this year. We get along well and I trust his decisions most of the time. I’d be sad to see him go but I’ve occasionally taken advice from a younger pdoc and that one is good too.
