My brother got through it so I knew it had to be a good book and it was.

It sounds promising that your gearing up mentally to get back on the horse, and dust yourself off.

The author’s argument is that slip ups shouldn’t lead us to throwing our hands up and junking all we’ve accomplished in setting a healthy habit originally.

Yes but that’s just me.
But honestly if the meat is only one day over the expiration date and it’s pink in color then it should be fine to use.

one day is no big deal, most of grocery store meat when it gets close to the date they just put a later dates sticker on it so it can sell, or reduce the price due to date, not all the time but more than most think. if the meat smells normal and looks normal it should be fine

That should be illegal. Seriously. Dates on food should be as accurate as is possible within todays knowledge of food safety.

Ok. I read it. The use by date doesn’t necessarily mean it’s expired yet

“One time, I went to a restaurant and got so sick afterwards, the dr taking my case called the cdc for an investigation. It turned out I ate undercooked sausage and undercooked chicken and got sick from both. My intestines were literally bleeding! Ugh! Never again!!!“

Forgive me, I don’t know how to do multiple quotes. I was going to say the meat sounds fine, but with your experiences, I probably would not eat the meat.
