I feel devastated. After 15 years together he wants to get divorced. I will move to my parents’ home on friday. I’m so sad. Now I’m 35 and I have to begin a new life in another place. My heart is broken.

His main reason to leave me is that because of my schizophrenia he doesn’t have social life, because his friends don’t like me. So he says he feels so alone and this loneliness is killing him.

A break up hurts, a lot. But eventually you will feel better. Maybe you should take time for yourself now. Work on recovery and learning to love yourself. Then one day you’ll be ready to move on with someone else, possibly.

You got married when you were 20? 15 years is a long marriage without babies. Usually newly married couples have babies within the first 5 years. How much older is your husband than you? Because it’s so strange that he wants a divorce after 15 years of marriage.
We got married when I was 24, but we have been living together since I was 19. Right now my husband is 51 years old.
