My girl and I have decided to postpone our marriage for another year, until Sept. 2019, to make sure we are not rushing into anything, to ease my anxiety, to allow my apartment lease time to mature, and to give my girlfriend time to save up money for the honeymoon. We will just have a long engagement. A year long one anyway. I like the idea of getting married in the Fall. My favorite time of year. This year, we are going camping.

I think that’s a good decision. You guys are sometimes up and down, so it’s good to let this new understanding between you have time to unfold and breathe.
I hope you enjoy camping! And I’ve always liked fall weddings, too

We spent the night together one night and the next morning she told me that we should get married and I agreed. Just like that. We were considering next month but then decided that that was too soon. So, next year it is. I just moved into my new apartment last month so, I need to wait until my lease is up at least.

I think waiting is a good idea. She has a tendency to act impulsively when she is feeling manic, and then get very upset with you when she is depressed.
Also remember that if you get married, you will affect each other’s credit. You’ve mentioned that she has a spending problem.
I don’t mean to be negative. I know you both love each other very much, and every couple has challenges unique to them. These are just maybe a couple of things to have conversations about in the next year.
Two things we have agreed upon is that I always take a bath before she comes over and also that I always wear my hearing aids every day as soon as I wake up every morning, and last thing I do before I lay down to sleep is take out my hearing aids. I’m doing these things for her. She hates it when I can’t hear her.
