My current opinion on CBD

All my research, from reading many of the posts here, looking at all the vetted companies selling high quality CBD hemp oil, and reading everything related to CBD and schizophrenia has pointed me to one conclusion: the dosage needed for it be effective at alleviating the symptoms of schizophrenia is between 200mg-1000mg daily, and the price of a 5000mg bottle of high quality CBD oil is anywhere from $200-$400 dollars.

Currently it’s too expensive for me (and probably most unless you can spend thousands of dollars a month,) to make it an effective option for helping alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia. Hopefully in the near future the prices will lower and/or medical/recreational marijuana will be legalized federally and we can have alternative options to industrial hemp CBD extract.

Cbd makes my heart race terrible. Sadly it doesn’t help my schizophrenia. I know people with schizophrenia and cbd helps them. It makes me psychotic, but it could be the trace amounts of thc in it. It just does nothing for my schizophrenia at all. Maybe I’m one of those who cannabis doesn’t agree with. I can handle cannabis when my tolerance is high, but cbd without antipsychotics I really don’t think it helps me. Everyone reacts differently to cannabis. I’m glad it helps you.

I just sent off $14 for a bottle of CBD. I’ll let you know how it goes, if they let me have it here at the assisted living center.

CBD made me have vivid dreams, and a messed up reality. That stuff is not good

I liked CBD and it really helped with paranoia and negative symptoms like social isolation. Too damn expensive though and basically the same effect as an antidepressant.

CBD seems to make me more social but i don’t have it when I’m at work because it seems to increase my anxiety

CBD did nothing for me.

I’ve never tried CBD, but if it is anything like street marijuana I can’t handle it. I get no high from marijuana, only a scary falling feeling and detachment from my natural senses. I’m not an arbitrarily typical user. For some it seems to work miracles. My doctor told me I can never touch marijuana or cocaine if in fact I want to stay recovered.

It isn’t in the sense that the THC levels, the compound that gets you high, has to be 0.3% or lower to be legal federally. The CBD compound is what has the more medicinal effects.

I see lots of cellebrities tout cbd and sports players. Gives off a cash grab snake oil vibe. Like it’s a cure all supplement.
It’s got a lot of work to do to prove itself.
And it needs to be affordable

100% agreed. It is very much a cash grab at this point, and the research is in it’s infancy.
