Hemp CBD oil for psychosis? Has anyone tried this?

So, I have an uncle who takes regular CBD oil with THC in it, and he says it makes him feel great and helps with energy and his anxiety. Unfortunately, THC is well known for exasperating schizophrenia, so my next choice would be hemp-based CBD oil.
It has no THC and reading up on the benefits, it’s often taken for anxiety and apparently has helped some people with their hallucinations and delusions?
Has anyone here tried this before and can testify if it helped them or not? Even if it didn’t help with your psychosis, I’m curious to know how it’s affected people who have taken it. Did it help with your depression or anxiety? Did it make you feel better in any other way? Please let me know if you’ve taken it before. Thank you!

It depends on the person. Also the strength of the cbd. To work it needs high mg of cbd which is expensive. Lower mg people often experience a placebo effect.

I’ve tried so hard to make CBD oil work as an anti psychotic,

The thing is,

Its just not enough.

You need real medication and can try to use CBD as a supplement.

I, personally, don’t even believe it works in that capacity, but you can try.

Do you know how high of a dose?

Well, honestly I’m desperate and will try just about anything. I’ve been trying to find a medication to help most of all with depression and no antidepressants have really worked. My doctor I have right now wants me on as little pills as possible and is actually really in favor of me trying this, and I feel like even if it’s not for everyone, it’s worth a shot.

I saw some effect with 500 mg and good effects with 1000mg. But those are too expensive for constantly using.

As long as you’re still taking your doctor prescribed medication,

Try CBD all you want.

I don’t want to be discouraging, it just didn’t work for me.

Hemp oil does have THC in it. You would fail a drug test.

I use hemp flower but the amount of thc is so little that it doesn’t effect my psychosis.

Interesting! How to you take hemp flower?

Yeah, I’d never stop taking my pills in favor of supplements, I just wanted something new to try something along side it and have been researching different supplements. I tried sarcosine but I think it caused me to have visual hallucinations, so I stopped it, and have been trying to find something to replace it.

Dry herb vaporizer is the best way I’ve found.

Most people smoke it, but to me it smokes very harsh.

How expensive was it in your experience? I live in one of the first states to legalize marijuana, so it’s a lot less expensive here.

Thanks! You’ve given me something new to consider!

I saw great results from Lion’s Mane extract from RealMushrooms on Amazon. Others use Amlyoban, which is a further purified version of Lion’s Mane, vut the one I listed is more affordable and worked great for me. i saw my anxiety drop to 0 and lost my obsessive thoughts. All in the first days of taking.

Wow, I’ve never heard of that. What dose did you take?

1000 mg a day. 2 capsules. Some people notice a headache because of detox properties. There is an Amlyoban thread, @naturallycured uses it and can tell you about that type.

I’ll definitely consider it. Thanks so much for letting me know about it! Did it help at all with your mood and energy?

Anything less than a gram of CBD is used for physical pain/discomfort.

I think so. By reducing my anxiety I felt better. So my mood improved. But my biggest help was adding 10 mg Abilify to my Invega routine.
