It’s weird how in psychosis I couldn’t stand the tv or radio (obviously voices were coming from them).
But now feeling a little better I can’t stand silence it’s eerie.

Awhh, I can relate. How dod you ease back into music and tv? I started off with lo fi and calming sounds. Tv I still struggle with, but I do enjoy things set in the past.
I started off with sleep meditations lol.
I can relate . . .
Whoever says silence is golden is full of crap!
Even if I’m silent mostly I like to hear the sound of my fingers typing. Or my pants swishing as I’m walking. Or the rain dropping. But I prefer the music to it all.
When the voices wouldn’t stop I had a bad problem of counting everything I was doing. To drown them out.
i couldnt stand profanity after my voices. i just watched king of the hill and cuddled with my couch.
Like I used to count steps. And trees and lamp poles in the car. In 3s 4s and 12s. And then I’d count the syllables and letters in sentences and try to make perfect sentences. The syllables being divisible into the letters in the sentence. This was my ocd that started when I was 8-9 my first sign of mental illness ever. They say ocd is common with psychosis too but my ocd started first and since gotten a lot better but I still count tiles in 3s
