When quiet does anyone else get 'voice withdrawals' so to speak?

so the story goes like this… had a bout of a nearly year long round of ups and downs with up to 15 odd voices at a time and basically went to sleep and got up to ‘voices’, going through a very quiet time now and listening to music to compensate… massive sense of loss due to the quiet, anyone else had this ?

I think this is pretty common…I think.
I’ve had this ever since I went on Abilify and the voices became quiet.
I had “good” voices too so shutting those down really hurt.
But hey, as long as we don’t hear much, we should be able to live life in the outer world, sunny!

thanks for your reply…
good to hear i am not alone in this matter…
weird actually that now quiet freaks me out as bad as when the ‘voices’ turn nasty…
hopefully this all turns out well…

I’m going through the exact same thing right now! I have to listen to music on full volume all the time and it still isn’t loud enough to fill the gap of the voices, I really miss them. But my doctor says after a while you should get used to it. I’m looking forward to that day if it ever arrives! I hope you have that day too!

I don’t hear voices but I see things.

When the medication started to work and I was seeing less things, there were “hallucinations” that I missed.

It is starting to go away now. In time you will get used to being alone. But it feels very lonely.
