which types of mites you talking about?
Here in Australia we have paralysis ticks. Don’t know if you get them over there also. They are nasty buggers. Their poison will kill your pet if you don’t get them to the vet fast enough. This is why my cat Binx is indoor only, among other reasons.
Woah. We have ticks here in the eastern US, but they’re not as scary. You have about a month or so to treat a bite before symptoms start getting really bad and permanent.
Yeah, ours aren’t as bad as that. I’m in the northeast US, too. I just stick Advantix II on my dog, and I don’t have to worry about ticks. I do a lymes vaccination for her just in case, too. Mosquitoes are worse on pets, in my opinion. Heartworm is harder to treat and a miserable way to die.
I don’t know much about mites, only that I don’t want them. Yucky.
