I had a tick on me!

Little ■■■■■■■ got on me from just going out on my porch, he’s dead now. We have a lot of those things up here in Maine.

On the main website here, there is a map of the usa which shows the states with the most cases of Sz and of lyme disease. They are almost identical.

I wonder about the rest of the world.

We have been told to save the dead ones and have them tested for Lyme Disease. You need to get shots for it if they test positive.

In the US they don’t usually test the ticks. At least, any time I have brought one in the doc has just thrown it out and said it isn’t worth the effort. They just give a prophylactic dose of antibiotics.

Oh yeah, when I was 10 years old in Maryland I was playing laser tag in the woods and stumbled into a whole nest of ticks ---- I had at least 500 (if I were to estimate) baby ticks on me from head to toe…

Not cool…
