I have no problem using Melatonin for the past few months. However, when i took Melatonin and GABA last night, i had difficulty falling asleep. I only take GABA 2 times a day. Is this too much? Should i stop taking GABA at night?
Pharmacologically, GABA is a neurotransmission inhibitor and should not cause a sleep disturbance. BUT is may be interacting with other meds youāre taking, including the Melatonin, by inhibiting the sedating effects of those medications⦠including anti-psychotics for sz. Iād go off the stuff for a night or two and see what happens.
Combo works okay for me.
My doctor showed me that some additives in supplements (the āinactive ingredientsā) can cause wakefulness, but I canāt remember which they areā¦
Thanks notmoses. You are right. I stop taking GABA at night. The problem is solved
Yeah, gaba is a tranquilizer lol
Too bad it didnāt work for me
Have you tried L-theanine?
In high doses itās a hallucinogen
Yes i am taking Melatonin with L-Theanine. I take Melatonin 20mg at night. So thats include 400mg of L-Theanine.
Wow thatās dangerous. Thanks for telling me this.
