Medical Review -- They need more information

Really? I’ve been hospitalized 17 times in 8 years and outpatient many times. They know I take meds and they help pay the bills. They should be able to see the bills they paid. Its s lot. They need more information to determine if I’m still disabled and can’t work.

This is absurd. I wonder if it’s my wacky doctor doing this. Is social security trying to get disabled people off assistance? It’s bad timing because my family is struggling.

I have 10 freaking days to get the paperwork filled out by me, 2 people, and a doctor.

Thoughts? I’m going to do it. I have to. Just venting I guess.

That sucks. I hope you find a way through it. Things are tight at the moment with services and they have made it hard to even get on the ladder.

Just make sure you get some help to fill the forms out if you can. I had some help before and I honestly wouldn’t have been able to fill all the forms out properly without it.

I think in a lot of countries they’re moving the goalposts re what counts as being disabled enough. The sociopathy of those doing so is all too evident.

Nationalism seems to have been on the rise since about 2014 when Russia went into Crimea. Many nationalists seem to have some idea that they need to get more people being productive to increase national strength.

So, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a push to get people off of SSDI. This is one of the reasons I’ve tried hard to be employed.

Didn’t work out, unfortunately. Glad you remember though.

Have you been working? If so, that could have triggered it.

Nope never. Not in 10 years, unfortunately.

@insidemind what country do you live in?

USA. My whole life. I was born here…

Ok. They’re trying to pass a bill that helps them get more people off disability.

Yeah is SSA knows that you went to college while on disability it’s something that can cause them to take a closer look at your case.

@anon12381882 is right. If you went to college and they find out that’ll trigger a review. Did you go to college?

Before Igot sick 8 years ago. I got sick in college and haven’t been back. They do a medical review every few years but I may have not done the paperwork right or filed it out 100% for SSI. The guy sounded like it would be easy and go through. I may have to appeal. This is stupid.

Maybe my idiot doctor said something…

I’m sorry @insidemind. That really sucks!

Yes I know answering questions on the form a certain way can cause them to do a more in depth review. Not that you shouldnt answer honestly but I know answering yes to such questions like has your condition improved? Did your dr. Say you could work? Can trigger a closer look.
