I want 9.25mg every night.

I was on Lurasidone a short while. 18.5 worked good for me. I researched if Lurasidone pills were good for splitting and they weren’t. So basically you can’t get lower than 18.5mg
But a split pill is half the dose right?
No. Some pills are not supposed to be cut. There can be several reasons for this like for instance the active ingredients in the pill might no be evenly distributed inside the pill, or there might be a enteric coating outside the pill that protects your digestive system from bad reactions, like acid or the wrong kind of uptake.
Olanzapine which I take dosen’t have coating, but I remember that Lurasidone did have coating, so if you split it the coating will be broken.
lowest effective dose is 40 mg
I’m on 80 mg of latuda.
I want to lower my dose to 40 mg but my Gp doesn’t want to and rather a psychiatrist do it but I’m currently not seeing a psychiatrist.
Two of my loved ones told me to stay on 80 mg because they think I’m doing well on this dose .
Where I live (Canada) the smallest tablet of Lurasidone is 20mg, but obviously you can cut it in half if you wanted too.
I currently take 60mg. Initially my pdoc wanted me on 80mg but I was symptom free at 60mg so I refused more. When I developed akathisia my pdoc suggested dropping down to 40mg but I didn’t want to risk becoming unstable so I refused that too. Instead I told him I wanted to stay at 60mg and take 75mg of Trazodone for my akathisia. He agreed to go along with that and it’s all worked out fine. I am stable and no akathisia symptoms.
I have no sz symptoms and have been off meds for a month so I want either 9.25mg lurasidone or 0.25mg paliperidone tablets.
I take 80 mg. And 40 mg of Geodon twice a day. Used to take 80 mg of Geodon twice a day and 40 mg of Latuda but I tried coming off of Geodon. Couldn’t come off but the side effects aren’t as bad anymore.
My advice. Don’t mess with a good thing unless you’re having intolerable side effects.
Read my comment above, I’m on 60mg and I don’t want to change it because it works great.
It’s great when the dr works with you anc you can tell the dr what you want.
Glad you found your dose that works for you.
My 80 mg works well for me.
I have insomnia but hopefully will get imovane for that.
Benzos give me anxiety instead of relaxation.
Imovane is beautiful for me.
I’m the opposite. Imovane wasn’t strong enough for my insomnia, I was taking 7.5mg/night.
I take 1.5mg of clonazepam (benzo) every night for my insomnia.
But go with what works!
Less is more. Cxxx
Hi @Sadie . Welcome to the forums.
Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant. Feel free to start a new thread on this topic.
