My testosterone is under the normal range. Min is 5.7 while mine is 5. Dr didn’t care when I told him its low. Why Drs don’t want to prescribe testosterone? Because its an addictive steroid?
Low testosterone causes weight gain, lowers muscular tissue while increasing fat tissue. Also causes fatigue, depression, sexual dysfunction, low bone density, etc
How can I convince my Dr to prescribe me testosterone?
Testosterone replacement therapy raises dopamine on the brain.
Patients with schizophrenia with low testosterone need a psychiatrist and an endocrinologist to choose what is best for you.
Lifting weights boost testosterone naturally and is safer long term.
After my first psychotic episode I was put on risperidone and got 36% bodyfat and 95kg/209lbs (2018).
My doctor recomended to do exercise so I’ve started doing exercise, in the begining was very hard but got better and nowadays I look forward to do it. Now I have 90kg/198lbs and 18% bodyfat (2022).
Caffeine increases dopamine. If you consume a very strong cup of black coffee an hour before, ahem, ‘pleasuring yourself’ then it’ll bump up your pleasure and simultaneously increase the number of dopamine receptors in the sex neurons of the brain. If you do this 3 or 4 times a week for a year it’ll probably increase your testosterone through the dopamine/pituitary axis. It’ll also give you a pleasurable hobby and something positive during the days.
I’ve been doing this since late Sept 2021 and my mind is absolutely blown away with pleasure each time. It definitely works. Enjoy.
In the states you generally need a referral to a urologist or an endocrinologist. Primaries don’t usually step on a specialists toes and my primary wouldn’t prescribe it for me. I got a referral to a endocrinologist and he did other tests, mainly a test for bioavailability of testosterone and that was incredibly low so he put me on that. My understanding is that you have to have low testosterone with symptoms. I had severe erectile dysfunction along with massive weight loss, history of breast tissue, and other symptoms.
There is the option to try online testosterone options, I believe even in Canada, but I strongly recommend seeking help from an in person specialist. The online ones are generally supervised by board certified doctors, but I still recommend going the specialist route first.
I had severely low testosterone, and treating that along with sleep apnea has changed my life.
