I tried straight l-carnosine and couldn’t tolerate it. But beta alanine which converts into l-carnosine has been a godsend for me.

LS! I do intermittent fasting: Thursdays and Sundays I fast. But on the five days that I eat I take one gram of carnosine. I am ovo-lacto-vegetarian so I do not get much carnosine with my food. And because of carnosinase you have to take at least one gram otherwise it does not work. Life Extension writes this in it’s free online magazine of Januari 2011. Because I take about thirty dietary supplements daily I would not know if this one works for schizophrenia.
