I’m working on two songs right now on my Yamaha keyboard:
Stairway to Heaven, by Led Zeppelin
Etude No. 3, by Frédéric Chopin
I think I pretty much got them both down.
I’m in my 15th year of studying piano performance and I’m only just now just beginning to feel like I have a teeny bit of control over what I’m doing. But not much. I just feel like it’s starting to get easier. Not as much of an impossible struggle.
I Have Been Playing It Throughout These Last Few Days Sporadically.
I Never Learned To Read Sheet Music. I Discovered Tabs Many Years Back. For Guitar And Such.
I’ve Been Thinking About Trying To Record Some Individual Pieces. Nothing Memorized, All ‘Out Of The Blue’. Depending On Mood I Guess. I Wander And Have Been Discovering A Few Different Unique Tricks. Kinda Excited About It Really.
If You Do ‘Moonlight Sonata’, I’ll Watch How You Play It And Do My Own. And You’ll Get 10% Out Of All Of The Monies I Receive For Astounding All of The Observers Dying To Get A Copy Of My Excellence. Yup!, Yap!, Yep!, Yas!, Uh Huh (!!!).
Okokok, Kidding.
I’m Interested In Your ‘Chopin’ Though. Sounds Like A Familiar Name.
I Only Know A Few Very Popular Classical Artist’s.
‘Stairway To Heaven’ Seems To Be An Interesting Jewel To Learn On Piano.
@ATARI , Did you teach yourself to play piano in only a few days to the point where you’re ready to record now? That’s great!!! How I envy you! If you actually took lessons, you’d really soar!
Actually, @SkinnyMe, I’ve Been Playing Since I Was 15 Years Olde. In The Floor, Alone In A Universe Of Melody And Silence. I Loved It Because My Isolation Didn’t Hurt Anymore. Nor Was It Noticed.
I’d Hate To Take Lessons That Would End Up Chaining Me To A Wall.
Thanx!, For The Comment I Rarely Get Feedback. . .
I still don’t sound good when I play my keyboard though. How do I know this? Because I video record myself playing and I sound just like this: Pluck, pluck, clank, clank. For Real!
@SkinnyMe I play the piano/keyboard as well. I’m not very impressed with the sound of my keyboard especially when I record myself either. Have you ever considered getting really nice headphones for ur keyboard? That plug into it? Because I did this and now it seriously sounds professional when I play, it really changed the way my keyboard sounds.
Another reason why I like headphones is because now I can play at like 3am if I wanted to and not disturb anybody.
