What’s the longest anyone’s lasted? I’m on day 3

I know I could do it.

But not doing a number two is worrisome

Poo has toxic stuff in it and is meant to be pooed out for that reason.

Are you doing anything to help with that? Laxatives, fiber ect…?

I can’t afford extra food atm. But once I get my credit card I guess I can buy fibre rich foods like prunes.

Thankyou for the advice.

I don’t like the idea of laxatives in my situation because it also removes minerals and such that the body is meant to absorb.

But laxatives are still necessary in some situations.

Just in mine I don’t think it is as I can opt for fibre rich food.

Have you tried limiting refined sugars? That’s a change you could make without going to the grocery store.

Yes I’ve tried for a very long time.

It’s not easy for me.

But I’m still trying.

How do you feel on day 3?

Keto is NOT recommended unless you have that dietary need that your dr tells you to do it. Its just a fad diet. As soon as you stop doing keto the weight comes back and then some. Fad diets dont work in the long run. If you want to lose weight and keep it off eating a proper diet with the help of a dietician plus getting regular exercise is all you really need to do. Its a constant adjustment for me

I’m using it for the potential psychological benefits not the weight loss. I’ve heard aaalot of stories about keto impacting people’s scz symptoms. I think there are a lot of people on this site who’ve seen improvement with it. There’s also the scattered reports of people achieving remission with it. I don’t think it works for everyone and I’m by no means convinced it will work for me but I’m gonna give it a good honest try.

Day 3s been ok. Some mild fatigue during the day but no flu. I’m probably eating around 50 grams of carbs a day right now but I wanna cut that down to 20. I want to be as strict as possible for the first 30 days so that I’ve got as accurate a picture as possible of what it can do for me.

I did keto for 3 months. I want to do it again. Just hard to get back into.

I want to do it. But seems expensive. Not to mention cultural issues will be big as well.

You might want to keep an eye on electrolytes. Need more of them in ketosis. Keto flu is created partly by changes in electrolyte levels.

How did everyone feel after being on it awhile? Any reduction in symptoms? Weight loss?

I thought it like the carnivore diet are mostly for people with certain autoimmune conditions. Our body needs sugar supposed to be in the form of complex carbs that release sugar slowly

People say the natural diet that cavemen ate but they also lived until 30. I dont think a diet is gonna cure sz i wish though. Im pretty sure all the current research is on plant based allowing us to live the longest and the healthiest
