I have to skip jury duty. Has anybody else skipped jury duty?

It means you have to go to court…… and you have to decide if a person is guilty or innocent in court.

Wow that a huge task and responsibilities if I am not wrong.
I have just seen in movies were a group of people would be in a seperate section and lawyers would explain it to them.

Your doctor should be able to get you out of it. You have schizophrenia, so I doubt you’d be eligible.

I think it depends on how big your city is where you live. Also I think some cities or towns don’t have a court.

I had jury duty a few years back I got a letter from my psych nurse saying I have schizophrenia and they excused me

I got called for jury duty a few years back…I told them that I heard voices that sometimes tell me what to do and they dropped me like a hot potato. I actually told them I WANTED to serve (cuz you get paid here if you’re selected) but they refused…I haven’t been picked since then.
