Starting today I’m taking two AP’s. Latuda and Seroquel. Low doses of both, but still it’s a bit worrying when you read about possible interactions.
Felt some minor things today like small spells of pain and uncomfort in the brain. And some weird sensations in the body. Don’t know if this is normal. Hoping that the body gets accustomed to it. Don’t want to go through this every day.
I’m on the 2 AP train myself, Seroquel and Haldol. Pretty high dose of Seroquel, 900mg/day, Haldol 10mg/day. Been on the combo for a while and so far no side effects. Lucky? Maybe.
I just joined the 2 AP club too. Invega and Trilafon. But we might switch to just Trilafon, depending how I do with it. Invega doesnt seem to be working as well as it did.
Hope your change goes well and what you’re experiencing are just startup side effects that go away.
I take Geodon 180 mg daily and Seroquel 200 mg daily. All attempts to add a typical AP like Haldol to those has been a failure due to them causing panic attacks.
I would ask your doctor if you can take one AP, and if he doesn’t agree find a new one. I used to take two APs and it was hell on earth at first and I felt lobotomized after I got used to them.
Not too bad the first day at least. I’m only taking 20mg latuda and 50mg seroquel. Seroquel is such a low dose because it’s perscribed off label for sleep. But I am a sensitive person so that’s why I’m a bit worried. I will know in the next two weeks what’s what I guess.
My previous AP olanzapine has created sleep dependency so I have to have a something for sleep. I tried switching to just Latuda before, but that was a disaster because of sleep problems.
Welcome to the club! I take Clozapine 300 mg and Ziprasidone 80 mg twice daily. When you find something that works, it is great. I hope your combination works for you.
