I find it a bit scary. Don’t know how this will work out.
I’m trading in olanzapine for lurasidone + seroquel as a sleepaid.
I will only take seroquel now the first two nights I decided to see how it works, then I’ll take both if it seems ok.
I’m not worried about instant relapse. It usually takes at least one and a half week off meds for me before this has happened in the past. So I should be ok off AP’s for two days.

How much Seroquel are you taking for sleep?
Only 25mg. But it didn’t work. I got no sleep tonight. I stopped olanzapine at 5mg and went directly over to 25mg quetiapine. Could have been withdrawal symptoms.
So I guess I’ll try to perform a cross taper. I’ll take 2.5mg olanzapine tonight together with the 25mg quetiapine and hope it turns out better.
Good luck! Does your pdoc know you’re trying to quit Seroquel? If not, you should ask them the best way to try to do it
It’s the other way around. Stopping olanzapine and starting seroquel as a sleep aid. If I manage to sleep on seroquel I will introduce latuda which will be my main AP if this works out, and if not I don’t know what. Ask for another sleep aid maybe
Oh ok. Sorry! I misunderstood. I’m not sleeping well either. I’m thinking about seeing my pdoc again for a script. Usually when this happens she prescribes Doxepin. I hope you get some sleep soon
So last night I took 2.5mg olanzapine and 25mg quetiapine but I only slept for like 2-3 hours. So tonight I’m increasing the quetiapine to 50mg and hope I have some luck. If that doesen’t work I will need some other med to help me sleep.
