I got a job at a wing place, still work there but feel utterly stupid when I cant follow simple directions due to bad cognition. I went off all antipsychotics to be faster at work now the visuals are creeping up on me but I dont want to take them no more
Hang in there. I got to aak, why stop all meds why not just take a lower dose. Best of luck

I guess I dont really think things through the right way and just want my full speed back but now my mind is going to places I dont want it to go
I think injections will be the best course of action for you if you are not taking your medication.

Whys that could you explain
The anti-psychotic medication pills are supposed to alleviate your mental illness symptoms. If you don’t take your medication, you’re going to be forced to take them by recommendation of your psychiatrist.

Please talk to your doctor, @mboston117. Your doctor prescribed your medication for good reason. If that particular med is not working for you or causing too many cognitive issues, maybe talk to her about trying a different med? It’s not safe to cut the meds cold turkey. It sounds like your psychotic symptoms are starting to flare up, and that can be disastrous. Please talk to your doctor and/or a loved one who can help you find the proper treatment.

sometimes it’s a lose lose either way,
If you can’t function without them then I’d take them,
If you can then your good.
Stopping APs, your going to experience the schiz world more.
Really take the time to make sound and well decisions for your health.

Be careful.
I don’t even know what I am doing when I get psychotic. The last time I quit taking my meds I made it four days and on the fifth day my wife took me to the ER. She said we were there for 14 hours. I thought it was like 15 minutes.
Even after getting injected with Haldol and restarting Geodon orally I don’t even remember any of the first 3 or 4 days in the hospital. It was all just a blank
I live with no one who cares my family is gone I wish I had support
Thank you Ill try to make good decisions to the best of my ability. Ive never really been smart about treatment and just kinda go with the schizophrenia symptoms they keep me alive on occassion
