Just had delicious jambalaya and then for dessert I had candied pecans. Are there any other foods from the south that any of you can recommend?

Have you ever heard of captain country chicken? I heard it’s a thing in the south I think. It’s like chicken with Indian spices. Idk if this is in the south but waffle houses always sounded really good. Chicken with waffles and syrup MMM reminds me of bacon and sausage with maple syrup.

There are waffle houses all over the place so maybe I’ll go to one. That’s a good idea

Dude I gotta try it. Maybe I’ll make my own homemade if I get bored one of these days. My gluten allergy is really the only reason I’m not morbidly obese

my favorite cajun dish is fried chicken etoufee’. next gumbo, next jambalaya…and my cook book has a recipe for bread pudding with lemon sauce and chantilly cream…delicious.
