I've made a decision on a dog

I want a dog. I have been able to live affordably without help from family and I think I can get a dog.

You have to take it out to poop and you have to walk and feed them every day. And it helps if you play with them.

also can’t forget they have to go to the vet sometimes and that also costs money. something to think of too

I am broke this month - my 16 yo needed dental work (pain).

But its all worth it. I can’t live without my dogs.
They love and will put their life on the line for me.
I will do anything for my dogs.

@jinx I hope you can get one.

Dogs are awesome. Do you have a breed in mind?

I know that. it’s why I don’t charge too much money
especially if the parents have little kids.
I’m not a Capitalist pig.
and I love all doggies that come in here.

If you can afford it, go for it. There’s nothing more comforting than the companionship of my dogs.

Just be careful where you buy one. Stay away from pet shops and Craigslist. I suggest going to spca, where all the pets for adoption are already spayed/neutered, have tracking chips, and up to date shots, which saves a lot of money.

And of course, do some research on various breeds to find one compatible with your lifestyle.

Edit: Do not buy one based on appearance alone. Huskies are beautiful, but some of the most high maintenance dogs there are. Choose one according to your own capabilities as an owner.

Good for you, dogs are awesome and make good burglar alarms as well

I have a husky (and a pit bull and a black mouthed curr) and he isn’t high maintenance. He sheds a lot though. He’s a pretty chill dog. He can have energy for days, but does fine being cooped up too.

Having owned 6 dogs in the past, I know dogs take a lot of work.
A very big responsibility.

I could no longer take care of a dog but I love my new cat.

Still a lot of work but it’s easier for me to handle
