For an 8300 loan. I haven’t accepted the loan amount, yet. I have been afraid to mention that my finances aren’t doable due to electric and water bills being so high.
Just to be sure, I’m not asking for financial support from any of you. I dont usually struggle so much. I do a budget, monthly. I don’t spend more than I have in my budget.
Just do whatever you do… prayer. Send out thoughts to the universe. Hope that I have good karma. Thanks, in advance, for your emotional support!
Hope you sort it all out. Worrying over money sucks and life should be filled with other things. Stick to your budget and pay off your debts. I’m sure you’ll get back in front soon!
Maybe you would already know about this by now but can you get help based on your income? My mom knows somebody that gets help. She cant be charged more that $50.00 a month for electric and no more that $50.00 a month for gas.
Why are you taking out a loan? You don’t want to end up in debt, especially if you are saying you don’t think you can pay it off. I know people that have done that and it can mess your life up.
Are you delinquent on your current debt? Do you have debit collectors calling you? Is it credit card debt you are consolidating?
If you have debt collectors calling you may be able to negotiate to pay a much lower amount. If you don’t pay it will ding your credit score for 3 years (I think)
They say that in the long run you pay more with debt consolidation because it extends the duration of your debt so you end up with more dollars going to interest
I don’t know everything about debt refinance but I was an accountant, I’ve gone thru bankruptcy and I have an unpaid bill to att which went to collection because they are idiots
Hi @JustTrish, a couple of the food banks near me will pay a persons rent for one month in an emergency. It’s a one time only program. You might want to look into it.
And speaking of food banks maybe you would want to try to find one near you online. Food is usually one of the biggest expenses for people but I get most of my groceries from my cities Community Program. I feel funny because I make a nice little sum of money from my part-time job and than I drive up to get free groceries in my nice car but my case worker had shown me this place and I filled out all the paperwork and listed my income and I still qualify under their rules for not only regular monthly staples like milk, eggs, bread, cheese, pasta, etc but a variety of food like chili, soup, frozen chicken, breakfast bars, hot chocolate etc. I can also pick up a bag of produce every Monday.
If you have a case worker or even a therapist they might give you leads on getting help with food or other assistance.
I think I saw somewhere that an organization with pay an electric bill for one month only too. It’s a one time deal.
@JustTrish. (or anyone) I don’t know if there’s one of these where you live but interestingly enough there are organizations in my area who give free legal aid to mentally ill people. The services they provide range from giving free legal advice to settling disputes with business’s you might have or even going to court with you. They take on a lot of landlord-tenant disputes. These are in California but other states might have them too. Just thought I would pass on the info.
