My therapist thinks I don’t have enough $

I told my therapist what my check is and what my expenses are. She said after paying rent, utilities, food, and such, it doesn’t leave much for credit cards and loan payments. She said I need to get out of the credit card business, and I agree. So it isn’t like someone else hasn’t seen my finances. I going to start with the $300 balance one’s first and get them gone. Then I’ll work on the others. It’s going to take awhile.

I am a very financially astute person so i always do my best to stay in the green zone, luckily I have never been in any really bad debt, i made a few bad decisions and maybe forgot a few payments over the years but i always paid it back, i’d hate to be in debt.

I’ve never had credit debt so don’t know much about it. Can you do a lower interest debt consolidation?

There’s companies that do debt negotiation, but with the exorbitant fees they charge for negotiating your debt you end up paying 75% of it anyway.

$300 isn’t a huge amount. I am going in debt over my teeth, I’ll have to pay off a $4000 bill. I put it on my credit card so I’m going to transfer the balance to a card with a 0% interest rate for a year. That’s the plan anyways.

I have a £2000 debt that needs paying to the support agency for staff hours from my recent vacation to Turkey with my staff. They haven’t sent the invoice yet.

Thanks @SkinnyMe I owe maybe $8,000? It’s going to probably take me a couple of years to pay it off.

Hi there! I know some credit assistance places are bad, but I once used InTouch debt solutions, and they were great. I was paying about 1/3 of my regular payment and would be paid completely off in 3 years. Just a thought. Either way, I feel you.
