It looks like I’m not going to be able to pay my bills this month

Soooo…. I’m going to pay the most important ones. Rent, utilities, bus pass, food, doctor & meds, one phone. Then pay as much as I can on the credit cards. I’m not going to be able to pay all of them though. I kinda knew it was going to come to this eventually.

You can get help from companies that make all your credit card bills one much smaller payment. It hits your credit for a while but if you’re really in trouble, it helps

I let go of my credit cards after I fell ill to sz…they hounded me on the phone for a couple years but let it go…ruined my credit for eight years…they can’t come after you on disability.

I know this feeling well. I’m just barely scraping by this month with my partner out of work. It’s a bad feeling. I hope you are able to catch up sooner than later Gato.

Also maybe check online for paid research studies. I do one that pays me $40 every 3 months. It’s not much but it’s coming in handy right now. In that past I’ve done ones thatve paid me $360 and provided transportation to and from the research location. It’s worth looking into. Colleges and hospitals tend to have an interest in people with SZ.

Is there anything you want that would require a loan or credit check?

Bc if not then maybe say ■■■■ to the credit card bills.

If you are retired or on disability then they cant touch you.

But totally up to you. We all fall into the debt pit at some point.

Same, mine is $230 for a 1 Br apartment. It’s usually $50. But it’s been so hot we e had to run the ACs.

$600 is so much! Is it for an entire house?

Yes. It’s a 2 bedroom house.
Last year same time. $400 mo.

We just got 2 new credit cards for emergency. Also maxed out on about 6 credit cards over the last few years.

You do what you have to do.

I did the same and I make no apologies.

I heard natural gas prices are hiking up electricity prices though I’m not sure why. I hope it starts going back down soon but I doubt it will. What with inflation and all.

I’m sure it’ll get better.

Thanks @ThePickinSkunk. Not unless I try to move into an apartment that does credit checks. Where I’m living now they only do a background check, with no credit check.

A criminal background check. Have you been judged guilty of any crimes.

@anon54988740 what happens if you have a criminal record?

I guess it depends on what you did. If it was shoplifting it might not be a problem, but they wouldn’t rent to a sex offender, rape and such.

I would never want to be housed with a sex offender.

Is that something you need to worry about?
