It's been a month

One month ago I send my report of my psychiatrist to social security.

I haven’t heard back from them yet.

I’m starting to worry a bit and am getting a bit impatient.

Hope to have some good news soon.

I think they are understaffed and there are too many people that they have to follow up.

Moreover, they have a lot of work because they try to control everything from part-time work to volunteering to studying to traveling.

I’m on disability and get reviewed every couple of years. I requested to study abroad. Then they decided to review my case and requested a report from my pdoc.

Now I’m awaiting their verdict.

Sz doesn’t give you a guarantee on life long disability in Belgium.

It’s called the recovery model.

Lol. I hope you are able to get off and find a job one day.

I can live off of disability but I still have some dreams.

In all seriousness idk about anyone else but me if I didn’t have my cardiomyopathy I wouldn’t be disabled I got it for at the time sz but then they realized I had sza either way my only “disability” is the fact that I can’t do stuff like become a mechanic or welder due to that thing sza in my case I don’t find disabling I think for ME disability is ■■■■■■■■ and I’m glad someday i get a job and give them my dream letter to :fu:t2::fu:t2::fu:t2: yeah the cardiologist f*cked over my life but i would be dead without the defibrillator because one night while i was sleeping it went off because my heart was getting dangerously close to stopping completely

I learned in my Lifestyle Medicine course that people with severe mental illness are 11x as likely to die of a heart attack.

I think some of the meds are very taxing for the heart like clozapine.

Our system has serious back logs

My claim took them nearly 6 months to process

Wow that’s all I can say but I USED to be disabled I’m shocked I even still have to it but in a way I’m thankful because if I get off of disability and tell my disability worker to f*ck off and it happens AGAIN then I’m going to have major major problems ive wrote the letter in my head a million times over but if my defibrillator goes off and I am disabled again
