Partially. They said my onset date is much later than I alleged, so I have the option to appeal but honestly I need the money so bad I think I’ll just accept it.

Yeah best move I ever made was ditch work and get on disability. I live a good, realized life without the constant stress of maintiaining work. I’m glad you got approved.

I should say. I volunteer a couple of days a week as a groundsperson at the cricket club. Full time work is too hard for me and paid work isn’t any good because I either get disability or don’t work. Still. I don’t regret that decision and although it’s different from most I love my life.

Are you on SSDI? Can’t you still earn a little bit? I am thinking about working one or two days a week and staying on SSDI. Is it easy to lose SSDI if you start work?

I’m in Australia and our system is quite different. I think I can earn a little different but I can earn a little. Still. I like my volunteering. Our club is small and can’t afford to pay for work so it works out for me. I did a quick search and old rules were you could earn up to $178 a fortnight without changing pension but unsure of new rules.

You can earn up to 1300 I think. I’m earning 700 after taxes and still qualify for ssdi

I think if I work two days a week for a total of 16 hours I would make like 960 at 15 an hour. Maybe I should call a disability professional and ask if that is too much.
