I’m in less pain, but still very swollen. I’ll look into pristiq. Thanks for the suggestion @Pandy
My doctor prescribed me lorazepam, 1mg PRN for anxiety. Usually 30 pills/year since I was first hospitalized, I rarely used it but it was handy sometimes. He stressed only to take them when absolutely necessary. I never abused them or became dependent on them. I don’t take it anymore because I am on clonazepam.
My pdoc prescribe me 1.5mg clonazepam for insomnia a few months ago so I am probably dependent on it by now. As a “side effect” it has anxiolytic properties so I don’t have any anxiety unless I drink too much coffee too quickly. When that happens I take 100mg of l-theanine because it counteracts the excitatory effects of caffeine and has anxiolytic properties.
Feel better @LilyoftheValley
I don’t know what I would do without a PRN, I’ve had some really bad panic attacks and nothing really made them better. I just had to wait them out, sometimes it took hours and hours before I began to feel better.
I take Buspar and it think it does a pretty good job.

Yeah, as soon as I finally calm down, it hits again. I’ve got to ask my dr about a prn
Oh cool. Thanks for letting me know @GrayBear ! How much do you take?
Yeah, it’s unfortunate your doctor won’t prescribe benzos, they work really well. The only 2 things I found helpful that are over the counter are l-theanine and CalmAid, apparently 2 pills of CalmAid is as good as 0.5mg of lorazepam(Ativan), I wrote about it here and posted some studies in that post, check it out if your pdoc won’t prescribe benzos. I take both on occasion.
Thanks @Headspark . I’ll check it out
I take 60mg a day.

Buspar didn’t work for me
Ok. I was only put on 10 mg when I was on it before. But my friend, and you, both took much higher doses. I think that may be what I need.
What dosage of buspar did you take @Om_Sadasiva?
I can’t remember.
It was years ago.
But if i judge by other meds
I had been prescribed,
I guess a big dose
sorry to hear you been having a rough day =(
hope you will feel better soon!
Thanks @lekkerhondje
If you have time maybe check out The Tapping Solution on YouTube. It looks silly but my therapist taught it to me to help with anxiety and flashbacks from a childhood trauma and it seems to relax me.
Ok. I’ll check it out. Thanks @ThePickinSkunk
