Is there a medication that worked for you when no other medication did?

I’ve tried a bunch of medications and none of them have suppressed my voices. I’ve even tried Clozaril. I’m wondering what other options are out there. Is there a medication that helped you when the ones you tried before didn’t?

My voices have never been stopped but the one I’ve done best on is haldol.

If Clozaril doesn’t work I think they try a first gen antipsychotic combined with a second gen antipsychotic. I can’t remember the science behind it though but I think the first gen and second gen hit different areas.

My voices are getting worse during the day.

I was on Orap (first gen) for 25 years. It never stopped the music in my head or some religious delusions, but it did keep me from having full-blown psychosis for all that time. But it grew less effective as my alcohol addiction got out of control.

I needed three medications to get rid of my delusions and paranoia: Risperdal, Geodon and Seroquel.

Risperidone and Depakote are game changers.
I would be hospitalized without them.

I wonder if perphenazine could be taken with latuda. I think I’ll look it up. Perphenazine kept me out of hospital four years.

Got a moderate interaction between perphenazine and latuda. It says it could increase side effects of another. Idk I’ll ask my pdoc in August
