I heard olanzapine is the second strongest

Been on it years. It does raise your heart rate a hell of a lot tho - especially if you drink on it. Well known as “Serial Killler” in the prisons here - cos the cons buy it to sleep their sentance off. Highly sedating for me at 300mg and above, which i take at night.

But recently ive been put on the modified release version during the day - so i dont end up in bed in the afternoon.

Is it better then olanzapine?

Im not entirely sure - i was on Olanzapine 25+ years ago - and all i can remember is the Weight Gain. Its less sedating i believe tho. I seem to remember the tablets were massive as well lol.

Oh okay. Im going to give qiatiapine another go as i believes it is less powerful then olanzapine and might bring my weight down

800mg for me about 8 years, nothing keeps me symptom free. And I refuse Clozapine.
But this was the most sedating and made me gain 30% weight from a 125# to 160#

Oh okay cool i hope it does the same for me

Same. I had pains a few weeks ago. They are gone now. Lasted a few days to a week. Really hard to describe the pain. No Bruise nothing muscle related so I believe it was nerve pain.

If it is nerve pain, I’ve been prescribed gabapentin in the past that really helped.

I don’t like going to the doctor but if you are worried and need relief you should have it checked out

I leave myself in pain unnecessarily too often

I’ve taken quetiapine 400 x 2 along with 80 x 2 geodon for about two decades now. For a long time I didn’t think the quetiapine was doing anything for me, but then I didn’t get it for five days, and I was more stressed out than I cared to be. I didn’t get psychotic, though.

It really depends on the person as everyone’s chemistry is different. I used to take a low dose as a PRN and it would knock me out for hours. I apologize but I can’t remember the exact mg count, maybe 50.

@Naarai It’s also popular in our jails too as it helps people sleep.

I was on 1000 mg daily for 13 years. It killed my pancreas. :slightly_frowning_face:
