I read all of your news that you post, you write about that. I’d read your blog if I knew where it was.

I post news items to hopefully educate and inform people. I don’t do much personal writing about them as quite frankly my scientific knowledge is very limited. I post on the basis that there are those who are more scientifically adept than me here who will get something from the articles I post, and will hopefully add their 2 cents worth.

100 is per definition the average IQ on all tests. Not all tests are as reliable, but 100 is the average nonetheless.

I tested 143 as a child and another time 151.
But I took an online iq test during the height of a relapse and got 78.
It scared me.
The last online one I took was 129.
mine is 130… but if i were to take the test again now, i think it would be extremely low.
I am mentally retarded now after frying my brain with psychosis.
average is at the median of the curve… the flat 100. Legally iq of 72 is mentally impaired and how rare is that in your life?
that said… 72 is as far away as 128 from 100… that makes you even rarer… that’s how intelligent you are…
somewhere in the 90+th percentile of intelligence. Use it wisely… don’t let it rot… keep stretching… the world needs you!

Numerically yes, but as a %: 72/100 = 72%, 100/128=78.125%
The height of the curve is the number of people proportional to the population. It’s not that half the world has an IQ of 100 exactly. People with the IQ of 100 is the single largest group, but more by far lay to the left or the right of it.
.1% hah I messed that up the first time… 8 million people with the IQ of 145 or above… still an astronomical number.
