Do you guys know if it’s possible? Because college is not for me and in Brazil is not possible to survive if you work at shitty jobs (you can’t even pay your rent). Which country can provide me a good payment with just high school degree?
And I don’t mean that education isn’t important. I think it’s hugely important. We need to work our mind, but I don’t agree with college system and with what we learn there.
Well between USA average disability, a part time job, picking the right location, getting a roommate to split costs with whether that be a friend or spouse, yes it is very possible. You can even save money at that rate I reckon!!
USA is very accommodating compared to other countries, and if you play your cards right you can live a comfortable life… although it’s not utopia ever or anything like that.
You don’t even need disability, you can work 40 hours a week on a shitty job in the right location with a roommate and get by just fine. Many people do.
@brugluiz have you considered living with your parents?
Have you considered living with other people in the apartment?
Using public transportation etc?
Not like it was years ago and will get harder as factory jobs disappear. Before you could quit school and go work in a well paying factory. Those jobs are gone now
@brugluiz have you considered starting a business?
Also is it impossible to get ANY job or just a GOOD job?
If you can get a shitty job, you can start working at a shitty job and try to get promoted.
Also is it possible that you are seeking a job in a specific part of Brazil and in other parts of the country
the situation is better?
I really wouldn’t give up on Brazil so quickly,
after all you said you love the country and other countries have their own problems.
Of course, many people move abroad in search of a better life and you’re free to do it if you wish.
I love Brazil, but other countries offer me better opportunities and quality of life. Unfortunately, my city is becoming more violent. I want to stand on my own feet because of my nephews. I want them to have a great uncle that can stand on their own feet (besides many other benefits that I can have if I live in my own apartment).
I have considered starting a business, but I don’t have too much experience with the niche that I want to work (dating).
If you want to move @brugluiz, then good luck to you.
I know that for me, I want to stay in Israel at any cost,
out of religious considerations.
But people are different, if you wish to move good luck to you.
Several European countries are rather generous to immigrants, but I haven’t been following their policies recently. Finland, Sweden, Iceland - these country have a high standard of living and open to immigrants who speak fluent English. Look them up !
With just a high school diploma and a mental illness, you’d be much better off in a Northern or Western European country. But I think it would be pretty difficult to be allowed to immigrate here without a college degree.
