Is Anyone Else An Internet Addict?

I am. I have been an Internet Addict for as long as I can remember.
I feel like I’m researching and reading stuff on the Internet and I’m not really living or doing anything in the real world.

It’s effecting my posture and my neck feels constantly out of place and sore from constantly looking at my phone.

I don’t go out anywhere, so the internet is a life line for me. It’s also the only socialising I do.

I don’t go out anywhere either. I’m pretty much a recluse.

Today I actually tried to not be on my phone for a while, but that didn’t work.

I’m also an insomniac, so I’m always on my phone at night also. It’s like a bad thing for me.
I’m always tired.

I think sometimes im addicted to being an addict.

I have a hard time not researching every known thing in the universe on my phone all day every day. Its bothersome but i cant quit until i get the answer im looking for, which then opens more questions to be answered. Its a horrible cycle. I find myself saying “ok last page then im done”. Then 9 hours later i quit in frustration, i got nothing accomplished that was supposed done over the past 12hrs.

The internet has way too many rabbit holes for me to wondor down. From researching exotic and rare animals to shopping for everything from socks to yachts. (And i can barely afford socks). I love the tech i just wish it wouldnt consume to such a level that it becomes a problem

I think that we all have some sort of internet addiction. It’s just a time we’re living in, a life that couldn’t be imagined without internet…of course if we speak from the first world perspective.

Yeah, I’d be very lonely and bored without internet.

During the times that books and newspapers and pamphlets and broadsides were created and coffee houses were all the rage there were reading addicts. I think @Sarad is right, it’s just a time we’re living in.

I go through a heck of a lot of data on my phone. That’s why I paid for 20gb.

Is online gaming counts?

I’d say gaming counts if it’s on the internet. I don’t know if I’m an addict but I prob spend 90% of my waking hours, besides eating, plugged in one way or another. I guess roku counts too

Good to know that I’m not alone in this struggle.

i love youtube… here… Wikipedia…sacredtexts… sometimes i check out twitch… i don’t play many online games anymore but that once took up vast amounts of my time…

I have been thinking of someday trying to go a certain amount of time without using any technology like computer, phone, and tv but I don’t think I will be able to do it, I am an internet addict and I feel a lot of people are it is something so commonly used these days that people would think its weird if u don’t use the internet
