Anyone else addicted to the web? I’ve tried cutting back on it but I always end up back, whether it’s watching videos, browsing forums, or reading articles. I think it might be ADHD related, or a way of distracting myself from my mind.

Distraction is good!
Anything can become a bit unhealthy, but the internet is a gift to us IMO
I remember before I got my own PC, all I had was a PS1 and an old TV + a nokia 3310 I think at that time
With the internet, been able to listen to every artist, see all the diverse opinion on YT and have the access we do to all the news etc is great.
Personally social media isn’t for me, but I like forums as a format.
This place especially I owe a lot too

I think internet is just part of life now in this modern world. Like eating breakfast. You could skip breakfast but you know may as well have a bowl of cereal? and if you could then you may as well have some cinnamon toast crunch cuz it tastes better

It’s important to disconnect and focus on things. I’m addicted to YouTube. Have stopped it for a month.
I guess it’s always something else that will occupy you. Make sure that thing will improve your cognition and not destroy it like YouTube which makes you hungry for short clips and rewards
Balance is key for me. Sometimes I go overboard.

A bit addicted
I am also partially addicted to internet like you said i may also have adhd but not as much as meds are controlling me somewhat… i am trying my best to balance it…
Its not an addiction, emails, banking, admin, information etc…is all internet. Its necessary these days. I am happy just listening to the radio as well sometimes.
I’ve been addicted to the web since 1994. I used the original mosaic browser at work. I sent my first email in 1988!

I like to Google things and check the forum, Instagram and YouTube I also have Hulu + Live TV that I use with the internet and I always have the TV on even if I’m using my iPhone.
