Soooo…every time the tap is running in the kitchen, bathroom or the washing room the noise from running water really irritates me and if I’m tired I think I can hear people calling my name. I’ve felt this way for the past 12 months at least. I told my pdoc and he just said you’re doing well. So now if my wife wants to use the water she tells me to put my headphone on. This is some relief but definitely not normal.
Do any of you have irritations like this or other things? Oh and the door bell is the best. When I’m sleeping I dream I hear it so I’ve pulled the batteries out. Also the land line phone is out of the plug. Damn irritating things.
I get you,
Yes it used to,
not these days though.
Especially when the window or door moves due to wind.
My doc asked me once do I see dead people.
I was thinking like ok now only that is missing.
Yep hearing doors and thinking people are moving around the house.
My 2 kids do actually come and go also my mother in law is always dropping off treats for the family.
Also cars passing and car doors closing. Woah…. I’m letting a whole lot out.
It would be good just to hear it’s not only me hearing strange things or imagining them.
I’ve taught myself not to give a f… as if anyone needs me they will text or call my mobile.
But I live in a kind neighborhood and safe too. So people are always dropping things off.
@An_the-c-ology i think around 4 years now and I’m 44 so a very late starter.
I have been seeing a pdoc since I was 30 for mood disorder and insomnia and suicidal actions and feelings. So I either had it since then or developed it or don’t have it at all. I still am unsure. I’m learning as I go. But I am on all the right meds and feel a whole lot better but still not functioning as a norm.
I’ve been fighting it all for so long now and I’m very tired.
@An_the-c-ology i had a full on psychotic break at 40 hearing people plotting against me and I called the cops. It’s a long story for another day. I wrote it all down and that’s when the pdoc put me on ablify etc.
@firemonkey and @SkinnyMe
That’s very similar to what I told my dr. I heard whispers and they were just a tiny amount lower than I could actually hear what they were saying. I don’t get that anymore I’m glad to say. But what I do hear and think people are saying it’s in my 2nd language so I can not always distinguish exactly what they are saying even if clear. So I have a pill for delusions and take it when that paranoia comes. Zotepine 25mg helps greatly when needed.
