Wow I am so stressed right now. I found out my Pdoc is leaving the office I go to, I happen to be on some controlled substances and I’m worried my new Pdoc trying to get me off of them.
And on top of that my Medicaid came up for a renewal and I made too much money these past few months so they said I no longer qualify. My only hope is to get qualified for their freedom to work program. It’s a ton of paperwork that I finally completed today, according to my research I should automatically qualify since I was deemed SMI by the state.
SMI stands for serious mental illness, and you go through an interview process, if you are deemed SMI then you get psychiatric services for free. Yet the SMI program doesn’t cover hospitalizations or therapy so I really need to qualify for Medicaid or else I won’t be able to afford to be hospitalized again.
If I can get on their freedom to work program I will qualify for state Medicaid as long as I make less than $3200 of countable income in a month. Which is so much better than having to make less than $1500 gross. I’m finally working a full time job that pays decent and covers my rent which is $1250 a month.
Rent in Phoenix AZ is so expensive. I hate having to have roommates so I’m just in a small studio by myself. Rent is $1250 for my little 350 square foot studio.
On another note, on the 7th I finally have court. This case has been going on for the past 4 1/2 years and I’m so ready for it to be over. I’m super nervous about the outcome, this could be a significant amount. I really can’t say much more about the details of the case, which is killing me because this is such a huge deal in my life. A years worth of trauma that caused CPTSD, I can’t wait to finally see some action taken against the people who ran the school.
One more random note I just got put back lithium due to having a couple of manic episodes. But I was able to get off of Loxapine and lower my Geodon to the minimum therapeutic dose. Of course I made these changes with the help of my Pdoc.
