I have a smartphone one of my granddaughters lent me. When it had a sim card in all I knew was how to make calls. Without an instruction booklet I couldn’t do anything else. I’m quite phobic about tech.
I remember being upset when my mom bought my daughter a cell phone
when she was in 8th grade. Not sure why that bothered me, but it did.
She had been online for a couple of years mainly on MSN messenger
but I watched her activity closely. I got in my mama hawk mode.
I never did get the hang of all those messenger tools.

Tweens don’t need privacy. They need protection. I wouldn’t have known my daughter was being bullied if I didn’t read her FB. Of course the school did ■■■■ all about it
I am 42 and i feel i should be more tech savvy than i am. Oh well. I manage to do what i need to do.
My tech knowledge ain’t what it used to be and I’m okay with that. I can do the things I need to. Current project is refurbishing an old Pioneer reel-to-reel I found at the recycle centre.
