If you cook steak, what do you take your temp to?

I usually cook to 58 degrees Celsius or 136 degrees Fahrenheit… this is for lamb or beef…- and let is rest to get it to 60 degrees c.

Looking at improving cause I see it done on tv, and it’s more pink than I can make…

I baste it with thyme, butter, garlic cloves… anyone got suggestions to improving?

I like eating steak occasionally so when the time comes, it has to be done right… it’s been a learning process though, improving with each cook!

I forget my temp ranges for medium or medium rare…I “poke” the steak with my finger to see if it’s medium rare or medium…love it medium / medium rare.

Wow that’s interesting! Never thought of making it there, but I guess it could work… since a pan is just one hot plate!

I put the oven on broil and flip the stake around 5 minutes depending on how thick it is.

Not a veggie

I will only really eat chicken or tuna

Won’t touch beef or pork in most circumstances

Only exception is it has to be processed

i had a thick cut steak for my Birthday and asked ‘the robot’ how to do it.

I think it was flash fry the steak (oil brushed on steak) in a hot pan for 2/3 minutes both sides until caramelised and then place in a pre heated oven (220c) for 6 or 7 minutes.

I use a ninja foodi as my oven, and it was super convenient.

It turned out fantastic!

The last steaks were like leather, fried in a pan, what did I wrong ?

Did you let it rest?

The flesh is like a contracted muscle while hot and needs to rest to become more succulent.
