I’m taking for one month and a half around 600 mg of EPA and 400 mg of DHA. Now I increased to 1000 mg of EPA and 600 mg of DHA. I will increase steadily until around 2000 mg of EPA. There are studies showing that 2 g of EPA is good for the positive symptoms. I have less intrusive thoughts since then. I think I got better of negative symptoms as well (symptoms like alogia, flat affect, anedonia, avolition and social withdrawal). I think things can get even better if I keep taking omega 3.
I’ve taken it for a few years for health reasons. I think it may have helped me in other ways too. Also vitamin D.
I take EPA fish oil and vitamin D3.

Eating 2 or 3 cans of tuna and/or sardines per week will get you similar amounts of DHA/EPA.
Not all fish has identical amounts of DHA and EPA, but tuna, trout, and sardines have high levels.

Tuna and fish in general tend to have high levels of mercury these days, you might not want to eat it more than once a week, at risk of negative cognitive effects.

That’s true of large fish that eat other fish.
But sardines are small fish that don’t eat other fish and the risk of mercury is small.
Yeah it might be true for sardines, but Tuna contains mercury.
It does, but relatively small amounts if you’re only eating it once or twice a week.
Kind of like eating vegetables even if they aren’t organic, if you don’t overdo it, the benefits can outweigh the risks.

Fo sure perfect little can of omegas and protein but not too much cuz mercury is baaad
Sardines are almost free from mercury, they are cheaper and have more EPA&DHA.
I take two capsules of Fish oil a day. I credit it with keeping my mood stable and even all of the time. I also credit it with helping to keep my arthritis pain to a minimum. I wouldn’t be without it.
Yuptwice a week mixed with homemade guacamole cuz avocados are a superfood, too
