I eat flaxseeds for omegas. I don’t eat fish anymore and I’m allergic to shellfish so I just eat flax.

I take Omega 3 fish oil 1000 mg capsules. One capsule at breakfast, one at dinnertime, and one at bedtime. I take it for mood stabilization and for arthritis. It works pretty well for mood stabilization. I don’t think so much for arthritis.

I had chronic headaches for years until adopting a 20 gram a day fish oil regimen. About a month into it and my chronic headache is now maybe 1/4th as bad as it used to be, it changed my life!

Here is a CNN story about how it pulled a guy out of a coma after a few weeks. The guy had such bad brain inflammation he had to have part of his skull removed to relieve the pressure, and after a few weeks of 20 grams fish oil a day, he started to move, and a few months after that he was up and walking to his graduation!

I use PRN fish oil. They are meant for eye health but have a high epa mg which is suppose to be good for schizophrenia. The benefits to the eyes are a bonus.

I take 1 x fish oil each morning with breakfast, which contains 1,000 mg of Omega 3’s. They’re supposed to be good for your brain. It doesn’t do anything for my mental health, but so long as my brain is getting something that will benefit it i’m happy.

I like the Metagenics brand and my doctor recommends it to patients. It is on the expensive side, but it’s a good product. I recommend the DHA 600 formulation if you can afford it. I take 3 grams/day for cognitive and immune benefit. Below is a picture of the supplement bottle showing its name and brand:

Metagenics is a professional brand, offered exclusively to health care professionals and their patients through referral. Their products are formulated to be administered by recommendation and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

I wish I could get a prescription lol. Depending on how much one is taking, that can be expensive.
