I think I might lose my pip benefits

They were cool.
But I have a review next week.
And I have a feeling they may drop off
Nooooooo
Oh well if yes and hiphiphoooray if no.

what’s that mean, honey

food stuff, or money or something?

hope it continues.

Thanks Daze.
It’s a bit of cash in the UK that u get on a regular basis if your condition affects daily life. I had to fight for it when I applied with an appeal but got it.
But now I may lose it.

I hope you get to keep your benefit @anon90843118. I know I would be in a bad place if my disability was taken away.

ohhh, yeah, we all need something

why would they deny you?

I think maybe your pdoc can put in a repeal if you ask.

Thanks Disciple, at the end of the day it’s up to them. I can just be as open as I find possible and hope for the best.

Well before I didn’t even have motivation to wear clean clothes and shower. Now I do. Their criteria is on a point based system so it’s quite specific like school exam boards with their necessary curriculum points being answered in order to get the marks

so they think your’e well enough to go out and work?

I think clean clothes are mild on the list, just saying.

I think I am well enough to do part time yes but this benefit u can have even if you’re working. What do u mean by your second sentence. It reflects a form of lack of motivation or energy which is quite serious

I’m having problems with my ESA. I just lost £400 a month cause I moved back in with my mum. They reduced it. I checked my bank today and they have reduced it even more. I get £60 a week now and I have bills and food to pay.

The total push to get all of us into the society

even my MR kid

if it gives you more money, then do it, if you can.

Omgosh that’s unusual. I didn’t realise that would affect it. In London it does not since I live with my parents. But sorry to hear that hope it will be OK. Also realised its important to keep a check on what money they send u since if they make a mistake, you have to pay back sums later

I think worry over PIP is par for the course. I’m due a reassessment around 2021 and am dreading it. I seem to be doing better because I’m getting more support , and wonder whether that will scupper things.
The reality though is without that support I’d not be doing so well.

The plus side is the support means I have more support making a claim.

@anon90843118 I wish you well with your claim and hope it’s a positive result for you.

Thanks Firemonkey.
I really do feel it helps with mental health. Lowers stress etc.
Good luck with ur next assessment

I’m worried about losing PIP in the future. For years and years I was on the lowest rates of that and the lowest rates of DLA. Now I get max rate care and max rate mobility as from last year as the hospital phoned the DWP up and told them this guy should be getting more money. It’s worth quite a bit to me now since it was increased.

Citizens Advice Bureau can help, an employee from there told me having schizophrenia as a diagnosis you should be getting high rate care and low rate mobility. Taking a CPN is always a good idea to the assessment as I always scored zero points then once my CPN went with me I had no problems.

Yea so true cpn letters made a difference the second time round.
I don’t actually have scz instead they diagnosed me as psychotic episodes but yes I still applied too.
It’s fragile feeling to feel like we have to rely on government n I don’t know what changes they are capable of making

The new universal credit means getting less money. My benefit will go down by £40 a week.
