I al hoping they renew it. He is on the autism spectrum. He is a support to myself and if he looses pip he just wouldnt be able to hold down a job we would basically be screwed.

I’ve heard a lot of members here fear their PIP renewal stuff and almost every time it was all worry for nothing.

My brother was turned down . Appealed . Turned down again. He got zero points. He has HIV related psychosis. These are the kind of things he’s mentioned re trying to cope on just ESA, when he’s getting huge energy bills.
I have now put my boiler off entirely so no hot water all day , I can put it on if I have a bath but am avoiding regular baths every other day , I can shave and wash in the kitchen sink where there’s a heat pump but I switch that off also , and don’t use the washing machine now I do a wash about every ten days . All I am using is the kettle and the Tv daily but I don’t watch much tv now either . I have cut off any gas use . It’s still cold in the day and at night I lie under the duvet and don’t use my portable heater now either . I am going to put the fridge off once the freezer is emptied and buy food daily to cook I think it won’t need to be stored if I do that .

Wow so sorry to hear that. Can he take it to court ? When i first filed for pip i kept being denied. In the end i went to court and won.
I have mentioned that, but he was too anxious/nerve to consider doing it. I had advised him to makes notes as to how things affect him and the help he needs . He said he had 5 pages of A4 notes. It was a phone assessment and he was unable to mention any of them.

I’m in the same position, schziophrenia and autism. Due a renewal that got rejected now im sending a reconsideration letter hoping it fixes the issue they said there was with the original application.
It is stressful. I hope he gets it.

I know this is UK, but is there not a private charitable service like a church or something (I know of one) that can help pay for housing until you guys can figure what to do for a job?
