i took autism test and it says probability of autism is high.i remember my childhood and i was weird child since then

Weird doesn’t equal autistic, but you could always discuss it with your doc if you want proper testing.

I got diagnosed a few weeks back after my psychiatrist recommended I get assessed. If you suspect you have it, then I recommend getting assessed if you feel that it will help you in some way.

My husband and former best friend both wondered if I’m autistic.
Every screening I’ve taken says I am highly likely to have it.
But my insurance doesn’t cover a real screening with a psychologist
So I’ll never know

im so sorry. here in the UK I waited 3 years to be assessed. the psychiatrist asked my GP to send a referral for an assessment back in 2020. But it never happened over the pandemic. So when I chased it in 2022, they finally sent the referral but a year later the autism assessment team didn’t have anyone to do the assessment so I went to a private clinic funded by the nhs. if it wasn’t for the NHS I would have had to fork out £2500 that I don’t have.

Online tests are not accurate. I would not self diagnose based on a test. Talk to your therapist or psychiatrist

Wow! Thats a lot of money! Around where I live, people are charging like $500 USD total. And even that is way too expensive

Yes the private clinic I went to who accepts NHS referrals has listed an assessment for £2500 on their website. It’s expensive and inaccessible even at the price you are stating. it’s just not fair.

i have very weak human relationships also i can not exactly understand people feelings.not like sociopathy.i can be rude to people by not feeling their feelings also when i think my childhood i m ticking all the symptoms box for childhood autism spectrum diagnosis
