I’ve never really gotten that much from him. I see him monthly and we don’t talk at all. I feel like he wouldn’t be able to tell if I was psychotic because he doesn’t even look up from his computer. I dunno but there is one other doctor where I live that accepts my insurance, and I may go to them because they seem more holistic
So he doesnt even talk to you? Thats very weird, what does he do during his sessions then?
He just stares at his computer and asks me if I’m suicidal. Thats about it. I’m normally in and out in a few minutes
Yea you should change I am about 45minutes a session with my pdoc then again only see him once every six months but get my moneys worth.
Yeah I think I prefer having a female doc anyways.
yea change before you relapse and have no support because your doc is clueless
I see my dr once every 6 weeks and i usually wait a half hour after we suspose to meet and he talks to me for 10 mins
Pdocs are really just there to make sure you’re medications are working,
They’re not therapists.
Mine just asks me the normal are you okay, not going to kill yourself type questions,
We do the injection and we’re done.
If you need someone to listen to you and help guide you,
You should see a therapist because the pdoc is not the place for that.
My problem is we don’t talk at all. He can’t even gauge whether or not I’m psychotic. I know what therapy is for. My gp checks to make sure I’m psychotic or not and he is quite good at it. I also have no way of contacting him when I’m having problems. I found a different doc that does combination therapy/ medication management and I think that is a better bet
I’d switch too if I were you. I changed pdoc 3 times in the last 4.5 years. I like the one I have now.
