How often do you speak to your psichiatrist?

How often do you speak with your psichiatrist?and what do you speak about with him?i didnt speak with my psichiatrist about 3months ago.i just go and get my injections and speak with a nurse.i want to ask her ?is it would be better if i change from xeplion to abilify? She will probably say if you want.she told me you have to choose and use one drug.i dont know when and why you should change meds.my psichiatrist in hospital told that xeplion (invega sustena) is a very good drug and people are happy with it.she told that after half a year i will see good result.she promesed me.but i dont know i dont have energy at all to do anything and desire too.i take one antidepresant for sleep.before i took one more but i dont think it helped me anything.should i tell nurse when she comes out that i want to speak with my paichiatrist about that.should i think changing med?i dont come to her with no point and disturb her…

I talk to my pdoc every 6 months we talk about work and current events. Sometimes I have questions about phycology.

Every 8 weeks. But I have a clinician that I met with weekly and text with twice a week just to check in. And she’s in contact with my psychiatrist.

The first half hour I sing and then the remaining half hour I speak. If the session runs long I have been known to bark like a dog for five or ten minutes.

Usually once every 3 months. Not much to talk about, these days, as my case has really stabilized.

If you’re struggling with the “right” combination of meds, you probably need to see monthly or so.

I see my psychiatrist once every couple of months and a nurse from time to time for “follow-up care” (it’s been 3 months since I last saw her).
Personally, I’m on zyprexa and sertraline…I’ve never switched meds so I know really know about any other treatment but I think if you’re feeling fatigued, you should definitely go for an consultation with your pdoc.

I see him for about ten minutes once a month. Everybody in the assisted living center where I live has about that much access to him.

Once a month, sometimes every other month. It varies on how busy he is and if he thinks I’m ok.

Once a month, but I can’t see the benefit of it. My GP will give me meds and all the pdoc’s seem to do is focus on meds, none now a days seem to spend anytime talking about your realities and what I have to deal with on a daily basis.

I know a Pdoc can’t live my life for me, but some support other than did it really happen, would be more helpful

Try seeing a therapist if you want to talk about your experiences. I hear CBT is the best for schizophrenia. Pdocs are more for the med side of the disorder.

I can’t afford anymore money on that for the time being, things are to tight right now

Maybe join group therapy, I don’t know how much it cost, but I’m sure there are some affordable places. You can always share here if you feel comfortable?
