I invested in one hobby. I try not to think of other things to do. It helps me stay focused one thing at a time. You have to fill your life with business other wise it is tempting to sleep and feel bored all the time.
It is ridiculously difficult for me to get one with my job gaps. And with covid meaning people are being made redundant and so more competition for the easy jobs.
I really need structure so I set an alarm. Basically I’ve trained myself to get up early every day but my alarm is set for 5am. I’m up most days earlier without the alarm as I’m used to it.
So. For me it’s about building decent routines. That starts with meds same time everyday. If I take them with meals then I try to eat same time everyday…It’s the routine that helps me when I get off track. Filling the day is hard. I have taught myself to set aside time for hobby stuff and things like reading. It really does improve over time…
It’s easy to kind of live in a cave and do nothing. Keeping a routine really helps my self esteem. I feel better when I’m productive doing a project. I only do one project at a time so it’s not overwhelming and I quit.
Yeah @anon78876561 I spent a lot of years sitting on the couch. Just chipped away at it and got into some good routines with things. Really does help and I’m finding that with hobbies to just concentrate on one at a time for sure. Wise words.
