I take it to keep anxiety at bay but I feel quite dumbed down and sedated.
I take 900mg a day which is a lot.
Time to experiment I think..

Yeah, I experiment sometimes if something feels off consistently. It can be a real effort when taking a stack of different things to work it out. I feel pretty happy about my current supplements though.
How well does it work for your anxiety? Mine is chronic and not always voice related. Ordered some of this stuff.
I use this and don’t need benzos anymore

But combining it with this seemed to be key
I don’t have anxiety anymore now.
If it’s safe and lawful (on here) to do so, can you tell me about this L-Theanine business? Im not intending to use, but very curious. Can PM me if its not safe to post on open forum?
Added that to my Amazon order, thanks.
I tried L-theanine, but it makes me sleepless, it’s a hit or miss like most supplements.
Lol. L-theanine is just a supplement. But there’s research that says it can be great for schizophrenia.
Also sulforaphane (broccoli sprout extract) has research behind it for schizophrenia too.
Aye I know its a supp. Was wondering what it does. For you for example. What does it do?
It helps with anxiety basically.
But it also helps with sleep.
You can take up to 1200mg a day. I’m currently taking 900mg a day.
I’ve found some brands are no good and some brands are great.
I typed L-theanine and schizophrenia into Google and it gave me this a.i. overview
L-theanine, an amino acid found in tea, has shown promise as an adjunct treatment for schizophrenia, particularly in reducing positive symptoms, anxiety, and improving sleep quality. While studies indicate improvements in these areas, its direct impact on overall quality of life in schizophrenia patients is less clear, with some research suggesting symptom relief may not always translate to measurable improvements in quality of life metrics.
Here’s a more detailed look:
Potential Benefits:
Reduced Positive Symptoms: Studies have shown that L-theanine can help alleviate positive symptoms like hallucinations and delusions when used alongside standard antipsychotic medications.
Anxiety Reduction: L-theanine has demonstrated anxiolytic effects, potentially helping to reduce anxiety and agitation in individuals with schizophrenia.
Improved Sleep Quality: Some research indicates that L-theanine supplementation can lead to better sleep patterns in patients with schizophrenia, potentially contributing to overall well-being.
Quality of Life:
While L-theanine may improve specific symptoms, studies specifically focusing on quality of life outcomes have not consistently shown significant changes.
This suggests that while symptom reduction may occur, it doesn’t always translate into measurable improvements in quality of life as assessed by specific scales.
Safety and Tolerability:
L-theanine is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, with no serious side effects reported in clinical trials.
However, it’s always recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.
Crikey. Thank you for all that.
Yes I recall that L-Theanine is highly present in real Green Tea. Interesting.
It’s worth trying. I think looking into supplements in general is a good idea both for the affliction, and trying to balance out the med side effects to a extent.
Yeah maybe cut down on the dose a bit @everhopeful
Took my first dose of L-theanine and broccoli sprout extract. Feel calmer than usual.
What dose of L-theanine did you take?
150 mg, so one of those pills you posted.
I normally take 2 at a time. (300mg) And I do that 3 times a day (900mg in total). So you’ve a lot of room to experiment!
How much of broccoli sprout extract do you take?
I just take 2 pills of this when I wake up
It seems to build up in your system after a few days.
Same stuff I got, thanks. I’m excited if I can get rid of anxiety will make things much easier.
